Staying HealthyPublic Health Annual Conference 2009The Faculty of Public Health Annual Conference 2009 was held at Scarborough, 16 - 18 June. Leading for Health - Evidence, Policy and Practice offered a wide range of topical public health issues from climate change to health protection emergencies. NHS North Yorkshire and York was widely represented at the conference with speakers talking on issues including Health Inequalities to Programme Budgeting. Five posters were also represented at the conference on topics ranging from Reducing medicines waste, Health intelligence for addressing inequalities in health and wellbeing, Working in partnership with social care providers to manage medication in care homes, Monitoring out of hours services, and a Social Marketing approach to increasing breastfeeding rates.
