HYMS
The Hull York Medical School (HYMS) is the landmark new medical school established by the Universities of Hull and York, in partnership with the NHS to develop and deliver a distinctive medical curriculum across the regions of Hull and East Yorkshire, York and North Yorkshire, and Northern Lincolnshire.

Department of Health Sciences, University of York
A broad range of taught and research programmes in health care, including nursing. Includes York Trials Unit, which works with GPs and hospitals in randomised trials, and the Centre for Evidence Based Nursing, one of an international network of centres for evidence based clinical practice.

The School of Professional Health Studies at York St John College provides both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, rehabilitation and professional health studies. It also provides a wide range of continuing professional development courses for the health professions. Patient Opinion is all about enabling patients to share their experiences of health care, and by doing so help other patients — and perhaps even change the NHS.  As well as allowing everyone to see what patients are saying about their services, it also offers a way to feed the experience of patients back to the NHS so that their insights and ideas can be put to good use.

easyhealth.org.uk is a website that it is easier for people to find health information that is easy to understand. This is because we all want to make it easier for people with learning disabilities to understand more about their health. If people understand what is happening with their health then they will feel more confident in taking control of it.

yourcarehome.co.uk is a new web based resource for people looking to find a care home for themselves or a loved one.  Our aim is twofold - to provide an extensive, independent, easy to use search facility to find a care home, and to direct people to the best help and advice on the internet, giving them the unbiased information they need to make informed choices.

www.yor-ok.org.uk is run jointly by the Children's Trust Unit and the York Family Information Service.  The aim of Yor OK! is to get services to work together to provide better outcomes for children and young people.

Guide2care is a free to access portal for UK care homes, nursing homes, home care, or nursing agencies. If you are looking for a carehome, homecare agency, nursing agency or need information on care for elderly or adult care, Guide2care has resources and information covering all aspects of care, for the elderly and adults with learning difficulties.

The Mental Health Research Network is an organisation that supports research studies carried out in England with the help of people who use NHS services and people who work in them.
